Clementi Swimming Complex is a public swimming complex managed by Sport Singapore. It is a nice clean pool with all the decay or rust being removed, shower head changed allowed quick shower. Best of all it has a locker using cashless system. New locker system does not support payment using coins but you can use your EZ link card. An old school style button tap which stops the flow every 3 seconds. New soap dispenser and sinks are also installed. Toilet cubicles now have a water jet with toilet paper provided. It is also One of the cleaner public swimming pool in Singapore with clean shower area and with good water pressure With a busy interchange and train station nearby, Clementi Sport Centre, formerly known as Clementi Sport and Recreation Centre, serves a mature estate with people of different ages, from kids, young adults, to the active seniors. Clementi is the preferred venue for Ministry of Education’s basketball championships and is training ground for our Singapore fencing team.
Though it is one of the oldest facility, Clementi has been able to re-invent itself through bringing amateur boxing to the masses to revive the interest of the working adults. Clementi pool, Clementi pool is one of the best in the world and it is a lifetime experience for outdoor swimming. The water is lush and warm and it is not heated.
The present area occupying Clementi Avenue 1 used to be known as ‘Sussex Estate’, named after the historic county of Sussex in England. It was developed in the mid-1950s to house the families of British senior non-commissioned officers. When Clementi underwent a major transformation beginning in 1975, Sussex Estate was the only pre-development feature that was retained.
